Ira Leibowitz received a Juris Doctor Degree from Brooklyn Law School and was admitted to the New York State Bar. He has also been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States and U.S. District Courts of the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Ira is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association. He is also a director of Execuleaders and co-founder and director of the Suffolk County Police Reserves. He was a founding member and a director of the Nassau County Police Reserves.

Ira is counsel to the firm. He was founder and managing partner of Leibowitz, Kane & Bennett, a law firm with office in Long Island and New York City. Ira was an owner and President of Dunn Laboratories, Inc. and General Counsel to Arthur Matney Company, Inc., at the time, a global cosmetic company. He had been Assistant District Attorney in the Queens County District Attorney's office, an Associate attorney at Brady & Tarpey and Fellner & Rovins, both New York City Law Firms. During his career, he served as counsel to many businesses, police organizations and sports figures. He also served as a counsel to the Sewanaka School District and the Franklin Square School District.

Services to Businesses and Principals
  • Represents privately held companies and its principals.
    • Litigation Services performed include defense of discrimination claims to the N.Y.S. Department of Human Rights from inception thru hearings, injunctive relief and damage actions against employees upon breach of non-compete agreements, suits against customers and suppliers upon breach of warranties and trademark infringement claims.
    • Transactional Services performed include private placement memorandums, purchase, sale and financing of businesses and commercial real estate, commercial real estate tax abatements, corporate housekeeping, customers and suppliers and employment agreements.
  • Services for Principals performed include personal representation, business purchases, sales and transfers of businesses to future generations.

    • Litigation - When Mr. Leibowitz began practicing law on Long Island, the corporate legal services were performed mostly by New York City Law Firms. Mr. Leibowitz took a position with a Long Island based law firm with a substantial matrimonial practice. He used his business oriented experience in domestic relations litigation and other types of litigation while building a business law practice on Long Island. He continues to represent individuals in the matrimonial area.
    • Police, Teachers, and other Public Employees - Mr. Leibowitz served the legal needs of educators and police.
